Matthew Somers attended Kwantlen University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Entrepreneurial Leadership in 2004. After working for both a Crown Corporation and a Fortune 500 Company, Matt left the workforce to pursue a law degree. In 2014 Matt was called to the bar in British Columbia practicing in the field of Insurance Defence and Personal Injury litigation. Matt has appeared in both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court.

Matt is an active member of the New Westminster Bar Association and sits on an external advisory committee assisting a local university with their legal administrative program. Matt is an avid golfer and enjoys getting outside whenever he can.
